Meg is something seriously special.
I was in a rough spot when I first started regularly taking her classes. I needed something that was stable enough to get me up in the morning and interesting enough to make sure I never had an excuse to not go, and I got so much more. I often remember getting out of some of her classes and discussing with other students that something magical happened in that room. It can be really hard to describe something so awesome, so we just had to settle with the word “magic”. She has an ability to make the whole room calm and collected, yet always challenges you with postures and poses that you really have to think hard about to do. I still remember when, during an adjustment, she said to me “think of stability, and not flexibility”. Other teachers have told me that but something about Meg and the context that the advice was given to me really hit me hard. I’ve really taken that advice and tried to apply it to my entire life, not just in the studio- and it has helped both tremendously. I bring her words of wisdom and lessons into other classes and feel that I have a greater overall understanding of how my body moves and how my brain works. Meg is a great teacher and I consider myself lucky to be her student.
